Turea and Allan welcome you to our Charente farmhouse. Two goats, two dogs and an elderly cat reside here with us.

We have extensive grounds where majestic trees stand tall in a garden bathed in seasonal colour with far reaching views over fields of maize, wheat, barley and golden sun flowers.

Situated in the rural hamlet of La Charriére “Domaine d'Or” B&B / Chambre d'Hotes and Gites is the ideal place to take a relaxing vacation, explore the area, for househunting or simply a stopover on your way to the southern regions of France, Spain or Portugal.

The Charente boasts the second highest number of sunshine hours after the Cote d'Azur.

Only 15 minutes from the N10 at Ruffec, 5 minutes from local shops, a restaurant bar and a tabac, 15 minutes from the historic town of Tusson which boastes an ancient monastry, tea shop and bar. And 20 minutes from the stunning chateau at Verteuil.
